Huawei has overtaken Apple in overall sales of intelligent terminals in the months of June and July according to the latest research of Counterpoint’s Market Press of July 2017. Yet Unknown sales of august, but confirmed the upward trend, could be a hat-trick for Huawei.
The director of research of Counterpoint Peter Richardson expressed that: “This is a significant milestone for Huawei, the largest brand of intelligent devices in China with a global presence is growing. The infrastructure of the sales network of devices has increased in the last three to four years. Richardson  said that: “Although this streak could be temporary taking into account that the annual update of the iPhone is just around the corner, however, the rate at which Huawei has been growing is significant”. On the other hand a weak presence in South Asia, India and North America limits the potential of Huawei in the short and medium term, occupying the second place behind Samsung. Huawei depends too much on its domestic market, China, where enjoy the position of leadership and of markets focusing on the operator in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East”.
To speak of the models sold most on the month of July, the senior analyst, Pavel Naiya said that: “Apple continued to boost its momentum with the iPhone 7 and 7 iPhone Plus; remain the models sold most of the world. OPPO has been one of the marks of more rapid growth throughout the world due to the popularity of models such as the flagship OPPO R11 and the OPPO TO57 average level that captured third and fourth points respectively”.
Huawei became the second bigger brand in the world in general, but surprised not to see none of their models in the first ten posts. This is due to a portfolio of SKU cluster that currently lacks a device truly charismatic.
Huawei needs a lot if continues to gain participation and market.has cut its portfolio and you may need to further rationalize its range of products such as Oppo and Xiaomi have done.
